Knits For Sanity

I was ROAKed!!

Yesterday I received the sweetest gift in the mail.  It's so cute and even better, someone knit it for me.  What's better than that?! 

Thank you Caitlyn for the very sweet gift.  I immediately tried it on and had a picture taken for you.

I love it!  It fits perfectly too.  This hat will keep me so warm during this cold Iowa winter.  I will wear it often.

Thank you for being so thoughtful.  I was so surprised! 

RAOKed again!

I received a sweet package from Atouria today.  She sent me a card and these handmade, cruelty free soaps.  They smell so good!  Thank you Atouria!  You're really a sweetheart.  I can't wait to use these in a hot bath.  There is nothing better than a long, relaxing, hot bubble bath.

On Friday I received this package in the mail.

Amy sent out these adorable goodie packages.  They are in celebration of her blogiversary.  She is so crafty!

The bag included a cupcake bath fizzy, M&Ms (which I already ate), and a magnet with her blog logo.

She even somehow got sitch markers with her blog mascot!  I don't know where she found those.  I hope she shares her secret.

Thank You Amy!  It is good to be a girl, isn't it?!

RAOK - Thank You

I received a RAOK on Thursday.  Thank you Caitlyn for the thoughtful RAOK and note.  It came on a day when I needed it most.  You're a sweetheart.

Caitlyn sent me a cute notepad with her note.  Sorry I don't have a pic.  I have already scribbled all over it.  I'm using it to keep myself straight.  I'd lose my head if it weren't attached. Thank you so much Caitlyn!

Another RAOK!

  I came home today to a wonderful surprise.  I got RAOKed by Cindy!  Cindy you are wonderful.  Thank you for being so thoughtful.

  Cindy sent me baby yarn to use for my charity project, The Preemie Project.  How great is that?! 

This yarn will be wonderful for all of the booties, hats and blankets I'm going to make.  She also sent me two sets of double-points, beautiful stitch markers and candle that smells wonderful.

The clip the holds them together is a neat idea!  I'm going to have to do that with the ones I make.

I got a RAOK!

I recieved a very nice RAOK in the mail today.  I got a sweet card from Catherine.  Thank you so much Catherine.  That was very sweet and it made my day.  You gave me another RAOK today by signing up to volunteer for my charity project, The Preemie Project.  Thanks so much!  That really made my day.

  Speaking of The Preemie Project, I'm happy to say that four new volunteers signed up today.  Hopefully the numbers will continue to climb.

  In other news I joined the Branching Out knit-along this week.  It is for the Branching Out pattern from Knitty.com.  It is such a darling little scarf.  I ordered the yarn last week online from Fuzzy Mabel and I hope to get it by Saturday.  I am going to use the Doucieur and Soie from Knit One Crochet Too.  I also ordered Tartelette from Knit One Crochet Too.  I am going to use that to make a shawl.  I have been lusting after that yarn for so long!  I can't wait for it to arrive.

I am a big fan of Knitty.com.  So I had to join the Knitty Fans blog ring.  I got accepted a couple of days ago.  Yippie!

  I am going to go knit.  I've been spending way too much time on the computer lately.  My knitting has begun to suffer.  Hopefully I'll have more to show on my Sirdar Cardigan soon.

  I got an invite this weekend to join Random Acts of Kindness.

What a great group!  Everyone is so inviting.  I so happy to be a part of it.  I have to take time out of knitting to get through all of the blogs in the ring.  Thanks again for the invite RAOK!
